The Three Gorges Dam is the greatest civil engineering feat ever undertaken by the hand of man. The longest continous section is 1.1 miles wide, and as tall as a 52 story skyscraper. It holds back a reservoir 650 km long. 250,000 men worked for twenty years to build it.

Long after our generation has passed, I believe this project will be judged as a benchmark for human endeavor.
