Sorry Rudy, but you're talking about a different movie then this little article. The one this article is about did not have Yukie as Sadako. This movie uses Daveigh Chase playing the role of Samara, the girl in the first picture. The movie with Yukie in it is called Ringu: Anthology of Terror made in 2000 from Japan. The Ring was made in 2002 in the US. The "now" picture is correct for the actress that played the girl in the "then" picture of The Ring.

Well she wasn't scary at all to begin with. The scariness comes completely from the video effects and the ton of makeup. The girl from the original The Ring AKA Ringu OTOH... That one will probably scare you to death should you bump into her on the streets. And that's no compliment.
